privacy policy

your photos
photos taken or uploaded here are never transmitted. the camera feed is drawn onto a canvas element inside the page, the strip and wallpaper are assembled on your device, and the finished file is saved by your own browser.
this is not a policy choice that could quietly change — CORTIS Photobooth is a static site with no backend, no database and no upload endpoint. there is nowhere for a photo to go. closing the tab discards everything.
what is stored on your device
one thing: whether you turned the countdown sound on. it is kept in your browser's local storage so the booth remembers it next time. clearing your browser data removes it.
analytics
the booth records anonymous counts of things like “a session started” and “a wallpaper was downloaded”, with no personal information and nothing that identifies you or your photos.
no third-party analytics provider is connected at the time of writing. if one is added, this page will name it and say what it collects before it is switched on, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
advertising
there is no advertising on this site. if that ever changes, it will be disclosed here, and a consent control will be provided in the uk, eu and other regions that require one.
younger visitors
the booth does not ask for a name, an email address, an account or any other personal detail, and it does not build a profile of you. if you are under 13, please check with a parent or guardian before using any website.
